The Book of Acts describes the activity of the Holy Spirit in the life of the early Church. Oil of Heaven Ministries operates from the starting point of the Lord's desire to do the same today, even amongst us in the 21st century, western, mainline denominational church. We don't think the independent, non-denominational, charismatic fellowships have dibs on the 3rd person of the blessed Holy Trinity! Our desire is to see local congregations full of regular folks trained to minister the Holy Spirit in the midst of every day life and walking naturally supernatural wherever God has placed them. As we live out Jesus' call upon us in our Baptism, we become ministers of God's power through the workings of the Holy Spirit who indwells us.
What are the requirements?
1) You must be at least 18 years old,
2) have a driver's license, and
3) pass a background check.
The on-line application packet has a form you will provide to three character references, one of which must be your pastor. There is a $50 application fee which goes toward paying for your background check. We need to receive your completed application, including the forms from your three character references by August 15.
Once the application deadline has passed, we will make a selection of those applicants we feel would be a good fit with us. If you are not selected, we will return your $50 and keep your paperwork on file to fill future openings. If your application is selected, we will run the background check and schedule an interview/discernment meeting. Based on the positive outcome of these two events, you will be asked to commit 2 hrs. per week, for nine months (Sept--May) to the program. During this period, you'll receive teaching, training, and impartation to function in healing, prophetic and deliverance ministries, as well as lots of hands on helping out at our conferences on the road and at our home church in Pasadena, Texas.
